The Narragansett turkey is a breed which descends from a cross between the eastern wild turkey and a domesticated breed. The Narragansett is a historic variety, unique to North America and is named for Narragansett bay. The breed has plumage with black, gray, tan, and white feathers. Narragansett mature early, are good egg producers, and have excellent quality meat.
