The Yurlov Crower is an old breed of domestic chicken that was developed in Russia and Ukraine during the second half of the nineteenth-century. It is primarily selected and used for long crowing cock contests, but the hens are good layers and the meat and eggs have a high flavour quality. A characteristic feature of this breed is the wide breast. It can come in a variety of colors including black, white, scarlet and silver.
