In the twilight the researchers discovered a small sculpture in a clearing in the forest. The object appeared to be composed of food scraps and waste. The whole was reminiscent of a bouquet of flowers, daffodils if you like. Around the sculpture was a kind of framework woven from dead branches and leaves. A sour smell hung in the heavy, moist air that attracted many blue flies. There was no sign of who made this sculpture, or its usefulness. Evidence of a strange kind of ritual? Glorification of an unbridled consumerism?
